What does it really mean to be a steward of the land? In this episode of The Highlands Gardening and Environment Show, we welcome Nick Weissflog, the new Manager of the Stewardship Program with the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust. We’ll learn more about the important work of the Haliburton Highlands Land Trust, explore the role of land stewardship, and discover what makes the Highlands Corridor so important to our region. Nick will also share some of the Land Trust’s priorities for 2026, including conservation projects, volunteer opportunities, biodiversity monitoring, and the fascinating Native Seed Collection Program.
